MATCH PREVIEW: America – Millonarios

Millonarios will face America in Cali in the first match of the playoff groups. Deportivo Pasto and Union Magdalena are the two teams that they will face in this group. In the last visit to Cali, Millonarios had a remarkable performance with using an unusual formation, 3-4-3. The team created a lot of chances and showed that they were dominant in the attack, but unfortunately, they only scored once. America’s keeper, Arled Cadavid, was their man of the match and was able to block multiple shots.

This evening, Millonarios will stick with their usual formation, 4-2-3-1, and expect to continue attacking vigorously as they did before. Juan David Perez will be back in the starting lineup, and he’s been a critical player for Millonarios in the first half of the season. In the second half of the season, he spent most of his time in the medical department due to a muscle injury. Luis Payares will be out for at least a month due to a cerebral injury. Alex Rambal will take over his role.

Millonarios starting lineup: Wuilker Fariñez; Andres Roman, Matias de los Santos, Alex Rambal, Felipe Banguero; Jhon Duque (C), Felipe Jaramillo; Juan David Perez, Cristian Marrugo, David Silva; Fabian Gonzalez
