Millonarios came back strong after a month break. The team that we saw in the last game was different to what we were seeing since Cocca took over. We’re hoping to see Millonarios continue playing well and winning more games to bring us closer to the league title. The team is currently sitting 8th with 24 points and a game behind. Our rival, Cortulua, is currently second to last position, 19th position, with 14 points. Millonarios has a higher chance of beating Cortulua over any other result.
Millonarios still has to play against five teams including Cortulua and the remaining rivals are La Equidad, Atletico Huila, Junior, and Independiente Medellin. Millonarios needs seven points out of a possible 15 points to qualify to the playoffs. The remaining games at home are against La Equidad and Independiente Medellin. The other games are away. The fans expect to see the team at least get nine points out of the 15 possible points.
Diego Cocca had mentioned that Lewis Ochoa has recovered from an injury and now he’s training with the team. Diaz had a decent game last week and he deserves to be part of the starting line up. On the other hand, Andres Cadavid is suspended for two matches due to the red card last game. David Silva is also suspended due to accumulation of yellow cards. Who will replace these players? Could Diaz and Franco be the duo CBs and Ochoa as right back or Franco and Carlos Henao as CBs and Diaz or Ochoa can be the starting right back. Since David Silva is out for this game, I believe Cocca will continue using 4-3-3 and Hinestroza will replace him. The important thing is that we support Cocca’s decisions no matter what. Whoever he decides to use, will hopefully do a good job!
Head to Head:
On August 9, 2015, Millonarios traveled to Tulua to face them and lost 2-0. Ricardo Lunari was the manager at the time and the team didn’t qualify to the playoffs that season. Earlier this year, Millonarios lost 2-1 to them in El Campin. Millonarios needs to snap the losing streak against them on Sunday and get their revenge!
Predicted Line Up:
Cortulua: Mina; Y. Hinestroza, Bolaños, Muñoz, C. Hinestroza; Campo, Caicedo; Becerra, Tamayo, Cardona; Moreno
Millonarios: Vikonis; Diaz, Franco, C. Henao, Machado; Robayo, Hinestroza, Rojas; Maxi, Gutierrez, del Valle
