Millonarios’ youngsters to the Bogotá U-14 Team

 

Eight players from the Millonarios academy had outstanding participation during the past few days in the Bogotá U-14 squad. The young ambassadors under the supervision of Coach Jimmy Lozano were essential for the qualification of the Bogotá team to the next phase of the National football children’s tournament: Copa DirecTV.

Below is a list of players from the academy participating in the Bogotá team and a brief account of their participation:

Joan Santiago Torres – Goalkeeper

Jhonny Perlaza – Defender

Juan David Gordillo – Midfielder

Juan Andrés Gómez – Midfielder

Juan Diego Velásquez – Midfielder

Juan Pablo Reina – Midfielder

Juan Sebastián Bernal – Forward

Yan Carlos Romaña – Forward

 

Bogotá 4 – Arauca 0

The first game of the tournament for Bogotá. Romaña scored two goals in this game.

Bogotá 15 – Vichada 0

The biggest defeat in the tournament and the best participation of the kids from the Millos Academy; eight goals were scored by the young Ambassadors: Romaña (3), Gómez (2), Bernal (1), Reina (1) and Gordillo (1).

Bogotá 1 – Huila 0

Although none of the players from the Academy scored in this match, Romaña and Reina were crucial in the game for attaining victory.

Bogotá 1 – Quindío 2

The winning streak was finally stopped by the Quindío squad. The only goal for Bogotá was scored by Gordillo.
